The M series complies with U.S. national standard ANSI A156.17, with interlocked barrel leaves — the standard choice for spec-driven U.S. commercial projects. K / M / R share the modular spindle-core platform (B-type), with upper and lower modules linked via a square-section spindle. Any door can use the M series; because the leaves interlock, it needs the door and wall to sit flush on the same plane (a flat, 180° mount), which is why it's common in standard flat-frame offices, healthcare corridors, and classrooms.

The M series Mortise leaf uses an interlocked barrel structure compliant with U.S. ANSI A156.17 — ready for direct spec-compliant procurement in U.S. commercial projects.

12-Color Ribbon (W Optional)

W hidden wiring is optional: UL-10362 Teflon 250°C 28AWG × 12F 12-color flat cable (colors per ASSA ABLOY U.S. market standard), or UL-1569 PVC 105°C AWG26.

MDEA Anchor · Dual-Stage Safety

Requires >3mm substrate thickness, Ø12mm drill bit and width of 3mm drill hole for use; the second anchoring stage continues holding force to reduce sudden pull-out failure.

A single hinge achieves 0°→90° auto-opening or 90°→0° auto-closing. One 5 mm hex wrench adjusts the stored torque; the floating spindle auto-matches brake force. The TS pure-mechanical structure with safety pin offers near-lifetime durability.
MDEA specification: MDEA requires >3mm substrate thickness, Ø12mm drill bit and width of 3mm drill hole for use. MDEA Universal includes 2mm special washer. MDEA Special is no washer, specifically for hinge styles D/K/M/R, featuring Dual-Stage Safety Protection and Second Load Peak design.

LSW integrates an electromechanical hinge lock with an escape safety pin — in an emergency, pull down the escape safety pin and push the door open immediately.

TS Pure Mechanical · Near-Lifetime Warranty

The TS pure-mechanical structure is extremely long-lived and virtually indestructible — effectively a near-lifetime warranty. Waterson supporters who cover round-trip shipping may exchange a unit anytime.
